WeChat-Counselling is an organisation which is operated from Perth, Western Australia and delivered by myself who is a professional counsellor within a framework which minimises the risk of harm, as I follow a trauma-informed practice. Our services are provided through the use of email, along with phone and video hosting services which provide an advanced level of encryption to ensure your confidentiality.
WeChat-Counselling works within the Australian legal requirements and standards for Privacy and Information Management. This is intended to safeguard access and use of your information. When using WeChat-Counselling your personal information is always kept confidential.
Your information will not be shared to any other organisation without your permission, except in circumstances where we are required under law, such as circumstances where we have a ‘duty of care’; which is when you are at serious risk of harming yourself, harming someone else or there is a child protection concern, however, you will be informed throughout the process. Furthermore, De-identified transcripts and demographic data may be used for supervision or to evaluate the services provided by WeChat-Counselling
Our service is intended to provide counselling for those suffering from a range of different issues, your counselling journey will be based on the information that you decide to disclose through email, phone or video chat. As much as we will try to help and assist you through these difficult times, we strongly urge you to disclose all information you perceive as relevant to your identified situation to ensure a smooth counselling journey.
All services provided by WeChat-Counselling are not a substitute for independent professional advice from your own or another treating health professional and we strongly urge you to continue to seek advice from other health trained professionals along with our service. Nothing within WeChat-Counselling is intended to be used as medical advice and is not intended to be used to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Furthermore, WeChat-Counselling does not accept any liability for any injury, loss or damage incurred by use of or reliance on the information.
WeChat-Counselling reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions at any time so that your visits shall be subject to these Terms and Conditions existing at the time of each visit, if you are a subscribed member at the time of changed Terms and Conditions, you will be notified through email.
Additionally, when engaging in WeChat-Counselling services you agree to maintain our standard of language and behaviour which is outlined below;
- You must not post or transmit any content that is inappropriate, offensive or contrary to any applicable laws
- You must not post or transmit indecent photos/videos which depicts violence, sexual activity or pornography
- You must reschedule and/or cancel your video and/or phone sessions at least 24 hours before the appointment, failure to do so will result as a ‘no show’ and you will lose the session that you have been entitled to
Failure to abide by these terms will result in immediate suspension from the service, you will then receive written notification, which terminates your subscription with no refund if you breach any of these Terms and Conditions.
By proceeding to the next stage of E-Counselling you acknowledge and agree that WeChat-Counselling may contact you through email to engage in counselling, however, we will not use or disclose your email address for any other purpose without your prior written consent. By continuing, you agree to all of the organisations above Terms and Conditions.
You may start your counselling journey through our WeChat-Counselling website by going through to payment and following the prompts, you will then receive a welcome confirmation of payment along with a welcome email detailing the next steps towards your mental health freedom.
